Muzammil Asif Khambati - MBBS

I pursued the MBBS program in Ras al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University. It was a highly structured program that placed a lot of emphasis on focussed learning and skill development of the students. The program tested our preparedness for the real and demanding world of professional healthcare by allowing students to shoulder responsibilities through self-learning, group discussions and case studies. Even the exam formats including the MCQ and OSCE formats were designed to keep the students sharp and ready for tackling the common health problems and not falter when faced with some of the rarer diseases.

The university provided us with a proper framework to develop our interests and understand where our final calling lay. The career fairs were helpful and always encouraged the students to explore new ideas and possible career opportunities. It is during one such fair that I realised that my true calling was management interlaced with practice. Keeping that goal in mind I am currently practising as a General Practitioner, with a Diploma in Business Management and Accountancy, and also serve as the Medical Director of my clinic. I sincerely thank our University, our accomplished management and esteemed professors for giving us the wings to fly.
