We are pleased to share that Mr. Hisham H. J. Muhsen (23901029), a Year 2 MD student from RAKCOMS, RAKMHSU, was awarded first place in the poster presentation category at the 4th UAE Anatomy and Cell Biology Conference, held on the 10th and 11th of May 2025 and hosted by Dubai Medical College.

Mr. Hisham received the Best Poster Award for his presentation titled “Bilateral Anomalous Veins Arising from the Popliteal Vein with Variant Termination of the Short Saphenous Vein: A Case Report”, conducted under the supervision of the Department of Anatomy.

The competition saw participation from a large number of students and faculty representing medical colleges across the UAE, the Middle East, and India. Emerging as the top presenter among such strong regional participation is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to the quality of research and mentorship provided within the Department of Anatomy, RAKCOMS.

This achievement brings great pride to our institution and highlights the ongoing commitment to academic and research excellence.
